All the way through Rahul was incredible and understood our needs and expectations from the very beginning, he was always available and reassuring as well as being totally transparent and helping us along the way.
Minal and Paresh’s Indian wedding at Tewin Bury Farm in Welwyn Garden City in the beautiful countryside of Hertfordshire was the first time I had ever photographed a wedding there. Tewin Bury Farm is a beautiful hotel which is created from converted farm buildings and makes this venue very unique and the perfect setting for Minal and Paresh’s Indian wedding and reception.
My day started off capturing Minal getting ready in her suite, before heading to the marquee for Paresh’s arrival. Paresh arrived in a white Lamborghini with the number plate ‘King’, very appropriate for his wedding day. Once Paresh was greeted by Minal’s family, the made their way in the marquee and to the mandap, where the priest performed a small ceremony before Minal’s arrival.
Minal made her entrance, with her parents looking on and very emotional. I love capturing emotion whether its tears of happiness or sadness, as I always want my couples not only to remember what happened on their day, but also how they felt. Once Minal and Paresh met in the mandap, it was pure happiness and smiles throughout the ceremony which radiated through the marquee.
After the ceremony, the rain that had been coming down since the morning had briefly stopped, so we quickly went outside for some portraits before heading back for some games and an emotional vidai ceremony.
During the reception, emotions were high again with some funny and heartfelt speeches. One of the highlights from Minal and Paresh’s wedding at Tewin Bury Farm, was Minal had a father – daughter dance, which isn’t the norm for Indian weddings, but I loved the fact that she did this, it was very loving and emotional, more Indian weddings should have a father – daughter dance! After dinner the dance floor opened up, and the rest of the night was Minal & Paresh, along with their family and friends tearing up the dance floor.
Thank you Minal and Paresh for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding at Tewin Bury Farm, and also letting me gatecrash your honeymoon and having drinks together in Santorini! Epic times to say the least! I’m so glad to call you my friends and we still have to go for dinner soon!
