Outdoor Indian Wedding Essex // Chandni & Monil
We wanted a photographer that could capture special and typically unseen moments and Rahul’s work instantly jumped out at us when we went through the process of choosing wedding suppliers
Chandni & Monil held their outdoor Indian wedding at in Essex at Quendon Parklands, one of my favourite wedding venues in the UK. They both wanted an outdoor ceremony, and the night before it had rained a fair bit, typical English summer! On the morning of the wedding I was driving down, and Monil called to say the wedding will be in the marquee now, but I remember them both saying how much they wanted it outdoors, and whilst I was driving, the skies looked pretty clear to me, and I said to Monil ‘why don’t you risk it, it doesn’t seem like its going to rain’, and apparently Chandni’s dad also said to take the gamble. So whilst the brilliant Mistique Events decor team were moving the mandap into the marquee, they were told to move it back outside again…..a gamble that paid off! Chandni & Monil had their outdoor Indian wedding, and all that happened were a few drops of rain, which quickly stopped. I love how these stories create your own unique wedding story.
Their wedding ceremony which was conducted beautifully by Hindu Priest Hemang Bhatt, had so much laughter and emotion, a pure joy to document. There were so many amazing moments between Chandni & Monil throughout the ceremony, they were grinning from ear to ear throughout the ceremony and the rest of the day. After the ceremony, we went off to around the stunning venue to make some portraits, before they went to get changed again for their evening reception.
The evening started off with a drinks reception, before Chandni & Monil made their epic entrance into the marquee, followed by the cutting of their cake. The rest of the night was full of amazing food, some hilarious speeches and of course an epic party which went on till midnight!
Thanks a million to Chandni & Monil for having me as your wedding photographer, it was so great to be a part of your wedding celebrations. Now on to some of my favourite images from their outdoor Indian wedding and reception at Quendon Parklands, Essex.
