Rahul manage to surpass my expectations as every time I look at our photos, I am reminded of all our loved ones’ emotions during the events. Even during moments which were unnatural for Vishal and I (basically all the ‘posing’ bits!), Rahul managed to keep us calm and capture photos that remind us of every minute.
Priyam and Vishal’s wedding at Old Thorns Hotel in Liphook, Hampshire, was a day full of celebrations. Having met them last year at Priyam at other weddings before, it was an honour to document their wedding. I didn’t really meet Priyam and Vishal properly however until their pre-wedding shoot which was such a fun afternoon hanging out with each other, and then documenting all their pre-wedding events leading up to photographing their Indian wedding at Old Thorns Hotel in Hampshire.
Priyam and Vishal chose the perfect setting for their Indian wedding at Old Thorns Hotel in Liphook. Because Vishal is from New York, most of his guests took the flight across the Atlantic to attend their wedding, and Old Thorns hotel is considered to be one of the best destination resort in South England. The perfect choice.
I started the day documenting Priyam getting ready in the bridal suite, before heading to Vishal getting ready in his suite, just before making his way outside for his grand arrival in a rickshaw, with dhol players alongside his family, friends and a lot of flares! Once Vishal was greeted by Priyam’s family, he was escorted to the mandap to officially begin the wedding ceremony, before Priya making her own grand entrance in to the ballroom with her brothers.
The ceremony was full of smiles, emotion and laughter, especially between Priyam and Vishal. After the wedding was over, everyone went off to change for the evening, a night full of more amazing moments, sumptuous food, brilliant speeches, and of course an epic party. Priyam & Vishal looked stunning throughout the day, and I loved capturing the little in-between moments, and all the happiness. Capturing joy and emotion is why I love photographing weddings because weddings are super happy, full of emotion, and I always want my couples to remember how they felt when they look back at their wedding day.
Priyam & Vishal thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day and to celebrate it with your families, it was a real honour.
