Nikita and Mayank, chose the The Vale Resort, Cardiff for their two day Hindu wedding celebration a beautiful venue set within 650 acres of Welsh countryside. The first day consisted of their civil registry marriage, followed by their Sangeet night, which involved ladies getting their Mehndi done, drinking and dancing! The next day, was their Hindu wedding and reception, Mayank made his arrival on a white horse with three dhol players, an explosive way to make an entrance for sure, which set the tone for the rest of the day’s celebrations, especially their reception, which was super fun with plenty of dancing, courtesy of Jas Johal from Kudos who kept everyone partying on the dance floor late into the night. Nikita and Mayank’s wedding was traditional, emotional and plenty of fun to say the least.
The highlight of their day for me was jumping into the car, and looking for some good light for their portraits, the whole day it has threatened to rain, but when it was time for their portraits, I could see sunlight in the distance, and we set off. I had no idea where we were going, but a few miles down, found a path into some open land, and boom, the sun came out too, making for some beautiful portraits.
Nikita and Mayank, thanks so much for having me there, I had a blast with you guys.
Here are some of my favourite images from their Hindu Wedding and Reception.
I had an amazing time shooting at The Vale Resort in Cardiff, it was the perfect setting for any Wedding Ceremony. If you’re planning on having an Indian Wedding in Wales, then please get in touch, I’d love to hear all about it and have the opportunity to photograph there again.
