London is without a doubt the greatest city in the world, which means it’s probably the best to get married in too. I feel so lucky to shoot beautiful weddings here all year round, there’s so much diversity and cultural variety everywhere you go, but all of it framed against a historic British backdrop. Nowhere else on earth looks quite like London through the lens.
Big or small, weddings in London always have a special kind of character, so it’s really hard to choose my favourites, but here are the ones I look forward to the most since they always offer such a classical dramatic setting:
The Lancaster London is absolutely stunning, and right opposite Hyde Park. Even when the weather isn’t great, it still offers loads of great opportunities for me to pop over with couples to get different kinds of shots. You can make it really stately and regal, or you can get a more contemporary feel if that’s more you.
The Dorchester is also an incredible venue. Every room offers so much variety to shoot in, wherever you point the camera you get a great shot! And the suites are so beautiful there’s nowhere better in the city for photographing brides getting everything ready for their big day.
Of course, if you want epic landscapes, my ultimate venue has to be Hilton Syon Park. The architecture is breathtaking, but it’s Syon Park Estate’s 200 acres of stunning rolling parkland that really make it special. There’s just so much to explore in search of the perfect romantic shot.
Wherever you get married in London, you’ll be in for a truly unique experience. Just get in touch if you’d like to find out more about my experiences shooting wedding photography in London.
