Absolutely Beautiful! Not going to lie – I did shed a tear (or few)! We really love the pictures, thank you so much!!
Every I’ve photographed an Indian wedding at Hilton Syon Park its always been awesome, Ashka & Shyaam’s lived up to those expectations. Ashka & Shyaam’s wedding has everything you could want when photographing a Hindu wedding and reception. Love, tradition, plenty of emotions, rituals, the joining together of two families and of course an epic party to top it all off.
My day started off with documenting Shyaam’s prep, before his official arrival on a horse alongside his family and friends, who were ready to be welcomed into the mandap by Ashka’s family. Once Shyaam went it to the mandap, I went to see Ashka who was getting ready for her with the help of the super talented Meera Shah – Make Up By Meera, before making her grand entrance in the Hilton Syon Park ballroom. Their wedding ceremony which was conducted beautifully by Hindu Priest Party Joshi, accompanied by Shiv Gopal Music, had so much laughter and emotion, a pure joy to document.
Ashka & Shyaam are truly awesome people, extremely laidback, massive foodies, the best of friends and totally in love with each other. There were so many amazing moments between them throughout the ceremony, it was great to witness. After the ceremony, and the official goodbye’s during the vidhai, we went off to make some portraits, whilst the rest of the guests headed back to their rooms for a quick break before getting ready for the evening’s reception.
The evening started off with a drinks reception, before Ashka and Shyaam made their grand entrance, to a rapturous applause by everyone. One of the highlights of the evening was they didn’t cut a cake, as I said earlier Ashka and Shyaam are foodies, so instead of cake, they cut a pizza, why not! Everyone loved it. Thereafter the evening was full of speeches, dinner, plenty of epic shape cutting dancefloor moves, thanks to Rugrat from Musical Movements, who kept everyone on their feet and ofcourse I can’t forget to mention Shyaam belting out Craig David’s ‘Fill Me In’ with everyone surrounding him towards the end of the party, it was the perfect ending to a brilliant day.
Thank you Ashka & Shyaam for making me a part of your day, I wish you guys all the best for the future and hope we get to meet up again soon!
Here are some of my favourite images from Ashka & Shyaam’s Hindu wedding and Reception at Hilton Syon Park: I had an amazing time shooting an Indian wedding at Hilton Syon Park, West London, it was the perfect setting for any Wedding Ceremony.
