We have to say a huge thank you! We could not have been any happier with the photo’s, thank you so much ❤ It was amazing having you there to share in our special day too, you made it even more special to us so thanks again! Lots of love!
So here it is part two of Amrita and Balraj’s Bali wedding. If you want to check out their pre-wedding shoot in Ubud, then go here, it was pretty special.
Amrita and Balraj’s wedding day started before sunrise, as with most Sikh weddings, the morning started with Amrita’s a small ceremony in her suite at the Conrad Bali. Amrita was with her closest family and friends, where they started with the Haldi ceremony, following the Chura ceremony where Amrita’s uncle and aunt give her a set of 21 bangles to wear for the wedding day. Following the ceremony, everyone headed for breakfast, before Amrita set off to the Ayana Resort, where the ceremony would take place, to get ready by the brilliant Natasha Moor, whilst Balraj got ready at the Conrad.
Once Balraj was ready, he headed to Ayana, to prepare for his Baraat procession. He arrived to the wedding ceremony on a horse, accompanied by dhol players, along with his family and friends, whilst Amrita’s family waited, ready to greet him and welcome their family in the Milni ceremony.
Balraj finally got to meet Amrita, she made her entrance with her brothers, ready for their Anand Karaj, which took place on a custom built stage on a cliff top, overlooking the sea, a dream location. With the sun beating down on everyone, the ceremony began, it was beautiful, tranquil and filled with emotion, especially by Amrita’s parents.
After the ceremony we went back to the Conrad, before heading to the ballroom in the Sofitel, Nusa Dua where the reception was going to take place. Amrita and Balraj, made their entrance to the reception with Balinese fire dancers, before having their first dance underneath fireworks. There after, everyone made their way inside the ballroom, for a wedding feast, which was accompanied by the brilliant Vagabond band. Following the dinner it was onto the speeches and some epic dancing till 4am!
Amrita and Balraj’s wedding was amazing, I don’t think I can use that word enough. The whole wedding was meticulously planned by Vishal and Vanessa of Eventures Asia, who along with their team, looked after me so well throughout my stay in Bali. It was also great working with Vishal Teckwani from Ambiance-Indo, who kept everyone on the dance floor late in to the night every day. It was a true pleasure to also work with Vishal Punjabi and his extremely talented team from The Wedding Filmer, it was such great fun working along side you all, I had such a great time from dancing together, drinking whiskey and all the banter in-between. I have to give a huge thanks to my good friend Luke, who came along on this crazy journey with me, thank you so much for your help brother!
And of course, finally, to Balraj and Amrita, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to document your wedding. You guys were so relaxed, laid-back, head over heels for one another and you welcomed me into your wedding like your own family and I can’t thank you enough for treating me the way you both did. I know i’ve gained two life long friends, and now that we live round the corner from each other, I can’t wait to meet up with you guys again, although this time in the colder settings of London. Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding it was a true privilege.
