“Two words – smashed it! Fantastic captures, you put a smile our face’s. We love them, you’ve captured such lovely emotions”
Arunita & Amish’s wedding at Haigh Hall, Wigan, was a beautiful day from start to finish. They already had their Indian wedding in India, as they wanted to celebrate with Arunita’s grandparent’s, earlier in the year. Arunita and Amish wanted a chilled out day with their family and friends having a great time, and thats exactly how their civil ceremony and reception at Haigh Hall was.
I met Amish for the first time, when I arrived at his hotel to shoot his groom prep, within a minute of meeting him I felt like we were old friends, and that was the same when I went to meet Arunita, to capture her getting ready. After capturing their prep we travelled down the road to Haigh Hall, where guests were arriving for some canapés and drinks before the civil ceremony. Everyone made their way into the ceremony room, ready to witness Arunita and Amish’s vows to each other, and make their marriage legally official. These guys smiled and laughed with one another throughout the ceremony, and emotions were running high.
After their ceremony, everyone showered them with confetti, before heading off to get ready for the reception. Emotions were running high during the speeches, before the best man gave his speech, which was absolutely hilarious, and had everyone in tears of laughter including me. I’ve witnessed a lot of speeches, but Amish’s bestman speech is up there with the best of them.
Arunita and Amish are fun loving, super chilled out couple, and their day absolutely reflected them. It was a brilliant day, celebrated with their nearest and dearest late into the night, and it was a pleasure to photograph their day for them. Thanks a million to Amish and Arunita for having me as your wedding photographer, it was great to be a part of your day. Here are some of my favourite frames from Amish and Arunita’s wedding at Haigh Hall.
