Anisha & Jayen held their Indian wedding and reception at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane hotel. This was my first time shooting a wedding at the super luxurious Grosvenor House in their famous Great Room, and it was also my first time shooting an Indian wedding reception with 950 guests! The largest wedding I’ve ever shot in my life. I was so excited for Anisha and Jayen’s wedding, I had already photographed their pre-wedding ceremonies, and got to know them and their families, and I knew their wedding day would be pretty epic.
The Great Room, is one of Europe’s largest banqueting spaces, with its heigh ceiling’s and grandeur, this was the perfect backdrop to Anisha and Jayen’s Hindu wedding ceremony and reception. Their Hindu wedding took place under a beautiful custom made Mandap, designed and created by Becky from Floco, who put together all the other floral centre pieces too. Parth Joshi, was their Hindu priest, who conducted an elegant ceremony, along with Shiv Gopal music.
Anisha and Jayen, were such a cool and relaxed couple, even though they had such a grand wedding, they were super chilled all day, always smiling, and enjoyed every moment with each other along with their family & friends. I’ve said it before and I don’t think I can say it enough, its not the settings, the location, or any other detail, its the people around you that make your wedding truly magical and yours.
After the wedding the Great Room was turned around ready for their wedding reception. A complete makeover and as you can see below the room looked amazing! Their wedding had one of the biggest cake’s i’ve ever seen, complete with screens, created by Karisha from Creme De La Cakes. After the formalities of the speeches, the meal, it was onto the party, Harry from Ritzy Music, kept everyone dancing till 2am! One of my highlights from 2017 so far, or maybe ever, was when Jayen popped a bottle of champagne on the dance floor whilst being lifted up in the air by his friends, it was crazy good.
As always it was such good fun working with my good friend David from Zenith Cinema, Anisha & Jayen’s wedding felt like working with a dream team of suppliers, it was a pleasure working with all of them.
Anisha and Jayen, thank you so much for making me feel so welcome and treating me like family. I had such a brilliant time with you both, and with your families! It was such an honour that you chose me to document your beautiful wedding, and allowing me the freedom to do what I do.
Here are some of my favourites from Anish and Jayen’s wedding at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
