Ditton Manor Hindu Wedding

What can I say – you are truly amazing and it was a pleasure to work with you.

Pritha and Rishil’s Hindu wedding at Ditton Manor, Berkshire was a truly special day of wedding celebrations. I started my day at a hotel nearby to capture Pritha getting ready before making my way to Ditton Manor to capture Rishil’s entrance. And boy did Rishil make his entrance known, arriving in a convertible with dhal players, a saxophonist, all his friends around him holding flares and his family dancing in front of the car.

Rishil definitely made his entrance known to Pritha’s family who were all ready to welcome Rishil and his entourage and escort him to the mandap. Once Rishil settled into the mandap, it was time for Pritha’s serene entrance into the marquee at Ditton Manor. Their Hindu ceremony was conducted by Kamal Pandey, and it was a pleasure to work alongside him as always along with Shiv Gopal Music. Once the Hindu ceremony had concluded we walked around the beautiful grounds of Ditton Manor for some portraits, before Pritha and Rishil headed back to the hotel to get ready for the evening’s reception

Happiness at wedding’s is one of my favourite things to take photo’s of, I love capturing emotions, and I always want couples to remember how happy they felt at their wedding. At Pritha and Rishil’s wedding there were definitely a range of emotions, but the main one was happiness, and these guys smiled and laughed throughout the day, from the moment I arrived till the moment I left at 1am in the morning.

The evening consisted of emotional speeches, dinner, an epic party and plenty of Jagerbombs! What a day this was, and such an honour to be a part of. Massive congratulations to Pritha and Rishil, thanks so much for having me as your photographer at Ditton Manor, Berks.

I had an amazing time shooting an Indian wedding at Ditton Manor, Berks, it was the perfect setting for any Wedding Ceremony. If you’re planning on having a wedding in London, or anywhere else in the world, then please get in touch. I’d love to hear all about it and have the opportunity to be your wedding photographer.

The perfect choice for your Indian Wedding

Ditton Manor is a house steeped in warm charm and plenty of character. It was the private home of the lord of the Manor of Ditton, and is located in the Royal county of Berkshire. Ditton Manor is a grade ii listed house, and sits within Ditton Park which belonged to the crown in the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1.

With its beautiful gardens, acres of open space and a grand 19th Century manor house, it definitely is the perfect backdrop for any celebration.  Ditton Manor caters for any type of celebrations from intimate to grand, so whether your ceremony is inside the manor house or in their marquee on the lawns or even outdoors, with its magical surroundings it will definitely exceed your expectations.

From the stunning house to the rolling grounds, your day and your photos will be breathtaking. You really can’t beat it for romantic atmosphere, plus it’s remarkably easy to get to from London, which is the icing on the cake for me.

Things to do around Berkshire

If your wedding guests are coming from far, there’s also plenty to do near Ditton Manor. Situated in Berkshire, a historic county, means tourist hotspots such as Windsor Castle is only a short drive away to see the changing of the guard, a tradition that brings the history and the people together.

Legoland is also very close by, a perfect day out for the whole family, or even visiting Savill Gardens too which is great anytime of the year. If you want to enjoy a quintessentially British day out Royal Ascot is a must visit especially when Royal Ascot is on, one of the most exciting events in the English calendar. Taking a boat ride along the River Thames, is probably one of my favourite things to do, with so many places to visit in Berkshire, you can easily forget you’re right on London’s doorstep. A wealth of towns, villages and countryside to explore make this county the perfect antidote to UK city life., Ofcourse if you want to indulge yourself the newly opened Fairmont Windsor Park, has a beautiful spa and plenty of fine dining too.

Weddings are incredible mixtures of emotions, but you never know how the emotions will flow throughout the day. Happy tears can turn into laughter in an instant, and it’s my job to pay attention and capture every little gem I can, anticipating where to be when things happen.

I take a lot of inspiration from different sources, such as films and magazines, art and other photographers. But the inspiration you bring is just as important. I’ll soak up all the Pinterest boards and links you’ve been carefully compiling since you decided to get married in order to make sure I’m fully tuned into the kind of wedding photos you want.

There’s a lot of craft and technical knowledge that goes into my wedding photography, but by far the most important ingredient is timing. I want to record the most significant moments of your day with as little obstruction as I can. After all, it’s your day. So why should I decide what would look like a shot that captures the mood or relationships on display? You and your family and friends will provide all the beautiful moments I need, no awkward prodding or poses required.

’ve always gone out of my way to get to know couples before I work with them. Nothing excites me more than getting to be part of their important day – possibly the most important day of their life. It’s a privilege and a joy, but only if I feel like I’m genuinely clicking with the core emotions and people involved.

I’ve worked as a Ditton Manor wedding photographer for a long time, as well as shooting amazing weddings all over the world – and I do it in a very personal way. My style is as much like journalism as traditional wedding photography. It’s a kind of reportage that documents the day and the experiences as they happen, whilst intruding on those events as little as possible.

It’s a pretty big responsibility. Being tasked with making an authentic record of your celebration – one that will still emotionally resonate and reignite all those precious memories when you look back – can be a bit overwhelming if you let it. But I love that challenge, the fact every one of those moments will only happen fleetingly before it’s gone, that’s what excites me about being a wedding photographer. I’ve spent a long time honing my craft, and picked up more than a few awards on the way. It’s given me the confidence and the curiosity to constantly discover those meaningful differences for every wedding that I’m privileged to shoot.

Employing a naturalistic documentary style also means I’m not trying to control anything about your day. I just let it all happen the way it’s supposed to and keep a close eye on the relationships and encounters that are happening around me. I want everyone’s different experiences to come through. After all, it’s a real melting pot of emotions and a couple may have very different experiences of their day, as they mix with friends and family from their lives, mingling, connecting.

I’ve photographed weddings all over the world and the UK, and if you like what you see i’d love to be your Ditton Manor wedding photographer
